Documentation tips for investors

One may be reluctant to read the entire offer document due to short of time, patience and technical understanding. In order to address this problem, one can go through a shorter version of the offer document called as the Key Information Memorandum (KIM). The KIM outlines only the salient features of the scheme and it becomes easier to understand.

IPO’s gain-loss situation

Educomp Solutions, an e-learning pioneer, has given a return of 18 times which is about 1,679% to its investors. On the other hand, we also have the Indiabulls Financial which gave a return of over 13 times which is about 1,228% since its IPO in September 2004 at Rs. 19 per share.
