Motilal recommended DISH TV as an investment idea with the following major points

• Dish TV continues to maintain its leadership position of 69% market share.

• August month subscriber addition is 50% higher than the average monthly additions in the first quarter of FY08.

• The ramp-up in the subscriber addition has been above our expectations and our current estimates factor year-end subscriber base of 2.9m (average of 84,286 subs additions in residual 7 months).

• The company continues to expand its distribution network for its newly launched VGA box in top 8 cities and plans to extend its presence in 50 towns by Sept 07 and 100 towns by Nov 07.

• The company has launched a new VGA settop box which is compatible with computer and enables the user to use DTH service on its desktop. Further, it is exploring new market segments and is talking to auto majors for providing DTH services in High-end SUV.

While these initiatives will open up new opportunities for DISH TV, these are early days and will wait to see the full fledge launch and acceptance of these products.

Motilal suggested Maximum buy price for the stock is 90 and I happen to get the stock at below 75. I am expecting to hold the stock for almost 6+ months and lets see what turns up.
