Positives
- Brokerage – If you have an account with some other broking house they will offer you better brokerage rate. If you can negotiate you can even get 2.5 paise for trading and 25 paise for delivery. (At least they have done that to me.)
- Good Phone Trading facility.
- They use Diet Odin for online trading which is quite good for trading.
- Good Service with Payouts and all done pretty much on time.
- Daily trading confirmation calls which I really liked.
Negatives
- They use Diet Odin for online trading which is quite good but only for Equity trading and you cannot transact in mutual funds using it. I am not sure but they tell me that you can transact in mutual funds using their online website and I tried using it but could not find it very easily.
- They use Diet Odin which is again not totally integrated and you cannot see your positions using Diet’s interface.
- Good Service for payouts but again it is manual and the system is not integrated to do online transfers like many other brokerage houses.
- I have an account with Religare for an year plus now and have made some handsome money and so there was no requirement for pay-ins and I only did payouts and so I am not sure I can comment on their cheque collection system but as it is manual I am sure there has to be some glitches.
I rate their service as averagely decent service but the person who gives you call is very limited in knowledge.

I am with Religare from 2008. Website is userfriendly having every option. Easy to use. Not a single incidence that they didnt responce my communication even on email or by phone. Many times they response on phone if we had mailed. Lifetme AMC for demat is available then what others we need.. Overall excelent..

The Person Shabbir Bhimani has very limited knowledge about Religare. They offer every thing that you can think of except mobile trading. they have alternate to every problem and solution to every alternate
I truly admin that I have very limited knowledge about Religare but I don’t think I need to do PHD about Religare Services before sharing my experiences with them?
I prefer Karvy over other brokerage firms.

I am not sure I am the right person to comment on the security of Religare.
I too planning to ditch my 5 year old ICICI-Direct account and switch to Religare. But there are some queries..
(1) Is it necessary to use client software Diet Odin? cannot i use web browser? in case of web browser i get greater flexibility as i can access my account from anywhere?
(2)If I sell some share and and transfer the money out of selling of share via online/internet, how will I get my money? in form of cheque from religare or I can simply transfer to my online ICICI bank account?

1) I am not sure if Religare has any web browser platform or not but they did not offer it to me and also I did not enquire about it much as I use my laptop everywhere.
2) They link your account with the bank and give a call and they will transfer money to your bank. For Transferring in you have to give a check.
